I thought he did pretty well, although he couldn't possibly escape without being seriously mauled. I would have dropped the NASA segment as that food is not accessable to the general public. I would also have covered Pyles' style New Southwestern Cooking. From this show too many Yankees are going persist in the myth that everything we eat is fried or barbecued.

I agree with Twinwillow the Mac & Ernies and also Live Oak in Uvalde were the best segments of the show. I say a road trip is indeed in order!

It was telling when he started off in FTW with a cowboy hat. Even more so that he went to the Mikeska's...

When in Taylor one will notice that Mikeska's is empty--while Louie Mueller's is jam packed! Everytime (twice a year)I make it a point to ask locals about the 'best'... and Mikeska's is a joke to them. My wife and I walked in once...and turned around and went right out.
Mueller's would have been great-they would have thrown a piece of brisket end smack on Zim's shinny noggin!
